His short story "The Fortunate Purgatory of Arthur MacArthur" placed first in DKA's 2006 Short Story Contest; "Moonshot" took first in 2007. His poem "Transport" placed third in their 2006 Poetry Contest. “In R’lyeh, Jesus Walks” won first place in the 2007 Jesus Vs. Cthulhu short story contest sponsored by Coach’s Midnight Diner. His great loves include his wife, son, writing (stop by his blog, mikesell.blogspot.com), and (since moving to Dallas, Texas) fried pickles and Blue Bell ice cream, though not together, as he is not pregnant. |
